Stress forms the foundation upon which most of today’s diseases manifest. Call it the age of competition or the struggle for survival, today’s world is a fast-paced race where everyone looks to struggle beyond limits to race ahead, and surging high on the stress levels. Blame it on the hectic work-schedules, the un-reachable deadlines or a life infused with more and more of just work, stress is now a common occurrence among most people in the world, and stress-relief is the most sought-after form of treatment.
Stress may be external, due to various traumatic occurrences or burden of heavy work, while also building up due to internal reasons like inadequate sleep and nutrition. Anxiety is a manifestation of stress, seen in stressful conditions, and is quite common in our lives. While some cases of anxiety are perfectly normal and easily dealt with, extreme anxiety and high stress levels cause trauma to the sufferers and require proper diagnosis and treatment.
